Disable encryption for VNC on Ubuntu

January 20, 2022
If you need to connect to a VNC server running on Ubuntu without encryption, run this command on the Ubuntu server: dconf write /org/gnome/desktop/remote-access/require-encryption false Note that when VNC's encryption is disabled, you should use some other method for security. For example, access the server via a LAN, VPN, or SSH tunnel.
