Google Calculator Rocks!

We always seem to want to convert various forms of measurements to some other various forms of measurements.  We used to have bookmarks for every conversion necessary: one for distance, one for weight, one for currency, and so on.  Then, Mango discovered Google Calculator.  Google has outdone itself and created the easiest conversion tool we've ever seen.  You simply write your conversion in plain English into the Google search box.

Examples follow.

You can convert distance, volume, currency, volume of data, and even calculate time.

But, oh!  It gets better!  You can convert multiple units of measure at the same time!

Calculate monthly VoIP bandwidth consumption.

Calculate how long it will take to transfer a large file.

Calculate power consumption of an appliance using your digital electric meter.

Calculate cost to run a 211.76W appliance 24/7/365.

Convert Canadian fuel consumption numbers to American.

And now, for the grand finale...

Convert US gas prices to Canadian.

Google Calculator is cool.  Period.

If you would like a reply to your comment, you must leave your email address! We receive dozens of questions every month from people who don't leave us with any way to contact them, so we have no choice but to ignore the question. We try to reply to as many questions as we can, if we know the email address of the person who asked the question. Thanks in advance for writing in :)
